ARCHITECTURE BUILT ON ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Each space and every element of this field office has a reason for being.

We set ourselves the challenge of designing the office to actively promote integration and collaboration between the two key operational areas.

Fully integrating both teams into a single space would not have been effective, given the distinct nature of their work.

Instead, we designed a U-shaped layout with floor-to-ceiling glass partitions that create transparency and connection without compromising functional separation.

At the base of the U, shared spaces were introduced to encourage spontaneous interaction and cross-team collaboration, reinforcing a culture of openness and alignment.

The results speak for themselves.

These are two professional teams that normally work on areas that are quite separate, and in completely different offices.

Their jobs are very different, but we thought they could create some really interesting collaborations if that division was broken down.

WE BELEIVE THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS SHAPES THE QUALITY OF WORK – AND ULTIMATELY, THE QUALITY OF RELATIONSHIPS.

We deliberately selected the finest materials, convinced that well-crafted environments have a positive influence on everyone who works within them.

It is similar to the experience of closing the door of a well-built car — the precise fit, the solid, reassuring sound. Even through touch or sound alone, it conveys confidence, stability, and security. That is exactly what we wanted to inspire.

Thoughtfully crafted and well-maintained spaces encourage people to act with the same level of care. In that sense, they become a quiet expression of mutual respect.

Intelligent, well-thought-out details that really make a difference.

The space should be attractive. But we must never forget that first and foremost it must be useful. Well-thought-out details are a show of care and empathy that’s truly appreciated. We just need to put ourselves in the users’ shoes and think of what they’ll need. We believe that it’s important to get to know the people who will use the space. We must design and build with them in mind, and not just meet “specifications”.

We designed a generous terrace featuring a wooden deck and a timber roof.

The fact that this was a field office did not mean it had to be merely functional.

We took the chance to build large spaces in the open air that would encourage interaction: Forestry workers like to interact outdoors, where they are in their element. And these spaces have already proven their worth.

The teams often head out to the terrace to inject a little fresh air into their ideas and to be able to share them fully.

The meaning behind the work: We used the wood that these teams work together to produce

Sometimes the workload can make us forget the meaning behind what we do, and why it’s useful to people. We used the same wood that they produce throughout the large common areas.

We transformed the kitchen into a special work area.

Notice that just a few touches of wood are enough. You don’t need more than that.

It’s enough just to sit for a few minutes in a new position.

We added a fabulous Italian sofa. With just one small detail like that you can change the spirit of the whole space.

And it becomes a space that encourages integration and shared value.
